Network Monitor is a TPx web-based tool that gives you the ability to easily detect, diagnose and resolve network issues – before outages occur. You can use it to get both enterprise-wide and individual interface insights that enable you to effectively and clearly manage all network events to keep your business communicating smoothly.

Accessing and Logging into Network Monitor

Logging in is simple. Go to networkmonitor.telepacific.com and enter the user name and password you received from TPx.

Network Monitor login screen

When you first begin using Network Monitor you will receive a unique, randomly generated password from TPx via mail. You will probably want to change it to something easier for you to use. You will find the “Change Password” tab on the Network Monitor Home Page.

Network Monitor update password

It is critically important to ensure that you remember your password. In order to protect your account security, TPx does not keep any record of your password. If you forget it, you’ll have to call in to TPx Technical Support and they will mail you a new temporary password.

TPx Links

Find links to online resources you can use to find additional information, guidance or quick trouble resolution from TPx. You’ll get one-click access to key forms and contacts you can use to quickly resolve any issue.

Current Node Issues

This is the chart you’ll probably check first when you use Network Monitor. It is a current snapshot of all ongoing problems on nodes in your network. You can click on each highlighted issue to drill down for more content. It will show any warning, critical or down alarms in your network, including problems with availability, response time and packet loss.

All Nodes Listing

Every node that Network Monitor tracks can be easily accessed from this tool. It shows your entire network in a clear hierarchical tree organized by site that lets you easily expand listings to drill down to the individual node you want to look at.

Last Events

This section is a running, up-to-date log of all events for every device on your network, with the most current first. It gives you a seven-day listing of all your monitoring and platform events. As with any other Network Monitor section, you can hover or click on specific events for detailed information.

Top 10 Nodes by Current Response Time

At-a-glance tracking of the ten nodes in your network that Network Monitor reports as having the highest current response time performance.

Top 10 Nodes by Average Response Time

At-a-glance tracking of the ten nodes in your network that Network Monitor reports as having the highest average response time performance.

Top 10 Nodes by Percentage Packet Loss

At-a-glance tracking of the ten nodes in your network that Network Monitor reports as having the greatest percentage of packet loss.

Top 10 Interfaces by Percent Utilization

At-a-glance tracking of the busiest interfaces in your network.

Top 10 Interfaces by Traffic

At-a-glance tracking of the ten interfaces in your network that are using the most bandwidth in their receive/transmit activity. Interface descriptions are shown (if available) and the unit of measures used are Megabits (Mbps), Kilobits (Kbps) or Bits (bps).

Top 10 Errors & Discards This Hour

At-a-glance tracking of the interfaces that have generated the most receive and transmit errors and discards occurring over the current hour.
